Advanced Feeds equine range supplements began with two or three products some 20 years ago. Today, the range has expanded to 18 products that cover all disciplines; breeding, racing and equestrian sport horse activities. All products are scientifically formulated by qualified veterinarians and nutritionists to help correct deficiencies in local produce and provide balanced rations suitable for our conditions.

Custom Mixes
Advanced Feeds specialises in custom premixing for feedlots (cattle & sheep) on an individual basis and can assist with advice on your feedlot requirements. Advanced Feeds work with feed consultants or directly with farmers to ensure balanced rations for optimum production and assist in formula variations as required. We can mix to specific requirements, any quantity or bag weight.
Advanced Feeds also have capabilities to manufacture custom supplements for farm or exotic animals by request. Advanced Feeds are Feedsafe accredited the quality assurance program of the Stock Feed Manufactures' Council of Australia (SFMCA) and registered with APVMA under the Code of Good Manufacturing Practice.

Advanced Liquid E Concentrate
ACTIVE INGREDIENT 600 mg/ml d,l alpha Tocopherol Acetate
Advanced Feeds are pleased to announce that we have been able to source a Liquid Vitamin E which can be mixed with water to improve ease of administration. It can also be mixed with water based drenches for sheep so both treatments can be given in the one dose (mix at time of drenching and do not store).
Advanced Liquid E Concentrate contains a stable form of vitamin E that is very effectively utilised by sheep and is recommended where animals have limited access to green feed, the main natural source. Body stores are sufficient for approximately 6 weeks when no green feed is available and deficient animals will show a marked reduction in weight gain and poor feed conversion after this time. Severe deficiency can result in death from heart failure particularly if the animals are stressed.
Recommended Dosage Regime:
For adult sheep the dose is 5mL (3000 mg Vitamin E) every 6 weeks. Lambs with moderate growth the dose is 3.3mL (approx 2000 mg Vitamin E) every 6 weeks.
Hand fed, fast growing animals have a higher requirement and it is recommended that feedlot lambs are dosed every 4 weeks with 3.3mL (approx 2000 mg Vitamin E) while in the feedlot.
Advanced Liquid E Concentrate is available in three sizes:
1L – Sufficient for 200 grazing sheep or 303 lambs.
5L – Sufficient for 1000 grazing sheep or 1515 lambs.
20L – Sufficient for 4000 grazing sheep or 6060 lambs.

Advanced Vitamin E 50% SD Powder
Advanced Feeds are also offering a WATER DISPERSABLE POWDER VITAMIN E.
Recommended Dosage Regime:
Mix 1 kg Vitamin E Powder with 2 L of water and agitate well. This will give a final volume of 3 L at a concentration of 166.7mg/ml active Vitamin E.
Administer 12ml of this mix to each sheep via drench gun to supple 200mg Vit E. Agitate mix regularly to keep powder evenly suspended. Use all mix within 24 hours. A skin will form on top if the mix is left standing, this will resuspend quite easily.
Repeat every 6 weeks until green feed is available.
Advanced Vitamin E 50% SD Powder is available in:
2kg pail – Sufficient for 500 grazing sheep.
5kg pail – Sufficient for 1250 grazing sheep.
8kg pail – Sufficient for 2000 grazing sheep.
20kg bag – Sufficient for 5000 grazing sheep.

Technical Note: Compounds with Vitamin E actively are found in abundance in green fodder, particularly immature grasses. Sheep have only a limited capacity for storage of these compounds and will become deficient within weeks of pastures drying off. Deficiency result in muscle degeneration and sudden death can occur from damage of heart muscle. Less severe deficiencies will manifest as poor growth and feed conversion even in animals being fed supplementary grain.
